Eternal Sonata Finally Ships For PS3Author: William Usher
published: 2008-10-21 19:45:41
Featuring a truly kick-butt combat system, some unique characters and a couple of new surprises for PS3 gamers, and you have yourself one of the best JRPGs in recent history now available for the PlayStation 3. And the good part is that it only took a year for the game to make the transition.
This cel-shaded, visually inspiring tale follows the last few hours of the great composer, Chopin, as he drifts into a deep dream state that take him to a whole other universe. The light-based enemy and combat encounters add a whole new dynamic to the sometimes turn-based/real-time battles. Magic attacks also vary if the player characters are standing in light or dark areas of the combat zone. Specific to PS3 gamers, Eternal Sonata will have new cut-scenes, new playable characters, as well as new dungeon areas to traverse. This is in addition to the new music, new outfits and new quest items. Nice, eh? It’s almost as if the year long wait for this game on the PS3 was purposefully done just for the extra content. If you’re a fanboy, you can keep telling yourself that. Anyway, the game is available for $59.99 and is rated ‘T’ for Teen. You can visit the Official Eternal Sonata Website for more information. And remember to stay tuned in with Blend Games for more news and info on the hottest titles. |
