Tetsuya Mizubuchi sure knows his music based shooters. With titles like Rez and Lumines under his belt, the natural extension to Every Extended Extra was not hard to come by. Microsoft announced that this week’s Live Arcade releases include the “extreme” version of EEE, including 100 times the enemies and chain reactions than ever before. Every Extended Extra Extreme is that perfect little Arcade title that is a bit of a challenge at first, but begs you to come back and play over and over.

EEEE will feature five game modes including Main mode, VS, Time Attack, Wiz Ur Muzik, and a shooting mode. If you’re interested in annoying family members you can use Wiz Ur Muzik to create custom soundtracks to play to. No one wants to be responsible for you using the Chumbawamba song on repeat though, so blame only yourself if your wife hits you with a brick.

Keeping with the tradition of double your Arcade pleasure, Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe is also coming out this week. The game is an almost exact port of the classic Bitmap Brothers title, but you do have the option of going into an HD 3-D mode. Everything you remember from the original is here, and the requisite Arcade updates like Leaderboards and Achievements are also included. The music in the game was actually pretty damn good, and it’s almost like Microsoft planned to release two games with great music at the same time. Hmmm…

You’ll be able to grab these two titles for 800 Microsoft Points on Wednesday at 9:00am GMT. There will also be some free Lumines Live! DLC for Xbox Live Gold Members from October 17th through November 14th. Lumines Live! also gets a permanent price drop to 800 MS Points on October 17th.
