Fable: The Journey, a Kinect-exclusive spin-off of the RPG series, has gotten its share of skeptical looks from gamers. Lionhead hopes that a playable demo will win everyone over, though.
Journey's demo will be available on September 17th. No specifics were provided about its content, but it's safe to assume Lionhead sliced off some small part of the single-player campaign for you to mess with. The full game will then launch on October 9th in North America and on the 12th in Europe. Unlike previous Fable games, Journey is not an open-world sim-RPG hybrid. It's more linear, with an emphasis on driving and casting spells with your hand motions. You can find out more details on this by checking out our E3 preview. Fable: Journey takes place fifty years after F3. The game stars Gabriel, an average Dweller unexpectedly pulled into an epic quest. He has to help Theresa reach the Tattered Spire so that she can beat back a malevolent force known as The Corruption. The video documentary below, the first of many to come, gives further insight into the narrative. Back to top
