Are you a Playstation 3 owner who’s a little perturbed about your favorite social networking sites going to the “dark side” (which is Microsoft if you can’t figure that out)? Well fret no more…well, at least don’t fret as much. Sony has been tweaking their super-console and will be introducing Facebook updates with the next firmware update, 3.10.

This update will give you the ability to update your status on the ‘Book every time you earn a trophy in a game or make a purchase in the Playstation Store. This update will also give you a revamped PSN friend’s list and a upgraded XMB photo category.

There is no scheduled release date as of yet, but you can see a video of FB in action over at the US PS Blog. Sony is telling everyone “soon”, so we’ll see.
