With the week to ago until the release of the Point Lookout downloadable content for Fallout 3, Bethesda has sent out six new screenshots. The shots show, among other things, the wide variety of things you'll be able to shoot.

In one shot, an axe-wielding Vault Dweller is about to face off with a shadowy reptilian figure. Reminds me of the Creature from the Black Lagoon but it's probably just a Mirelurk King. There's also a really nasty-looking zombie that might look familiar to those of you who saw the film Planet Terror.

If you're fiending for more info on Point Lookout, Bethesda's also released a developer diary that catalogs the creation of this particular episode. Lookout will be available for the PC and Xbox 360 on Tuesday, June 23 for 800 Microsoft Points ($10). The PS3 will receive it later in the year.
