Bethesda revealed today that Lonesome Road, the fourth DLC pack for Fallout: New Vegas, will be released on September 20th through Xbox Live, PSN, and Steam. They also announced two item packs are on the way for the post-apocalyptic RPG.
"In Lonesome Road you are contacted by the original Courier Six, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas," says Bethesda. "Ulysses promises the answer as to why he didn’t take the job, but only if you make one last journey into the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms. It’s up to you whether you take the job or not." Lonesome Road is the last of the announced downloadable adventures for the game. That doesn't necessarily mean Bethesda and Obsidian won't make anymore. Still, the DLC is said to end the story of the Courier - the player character in Vegas - so this might be a good note to end on. One week after Road's release, the Courier's Stash and Gun Runner's Arsenal content packs will arrive. The Courier's Stash (160 MS Points, or $2) is a compilation of the four item packs previously exclusive to pre-order customers: the Caravan Pack, Classic Pack, Mercenary Pack and Tribal Pack. Gun Runner's Arsenal (320 MS Points, or $4) adds a new batch of unique weapons, weapon mods, ammo types, and recipes to the Wasteland. Screenshots of Gunner Runner's new additions are below. |
