Square Enix is now ready to accept applications for the Final Fantasy XIV beta. Interested gamers in the US, Europe, and Japan can sign up at a newly unveiled website.

Like the retail version of Final Fantasy XIV, the beta is avialable in Japanese, English, French and German. To be eligible to apply, you must be at least 18 years old and have a Square Enix ID account. You'll obviously need an Internet connection, too, what with FFXIV being an MMO and all.

Note that they are currently recruiting for the PC version of the game only. "Details regarding recruitment for the PlayStation 3 version will be released at a later date," states the application page. Though the PC beta may begin first, both versions are expected to launch to the general public simultaneously in 2010.
