To make the final case for why you should pick up Mirror's Edge next Tuesday, EA has released a new launch trailer. As you'd expect, it's short and glossy but it does show some things you might not have seen before.
The trailer starts with a bunch of short, glowing quotes from game publications but then we get some brief gameplay flashes. There's some of the usual footage of Faith hopping around immaculate white skyscrapersr but we also see her navigating a few industrial environments and a subway system. Also, to remind everyone that developer DICE (best known for the Battlefield series) including plenty of ultra-violence in the game, we get to see Faith pummeling a few authority figures with her fists. She even shoots a guy with a sniper rifle at one point.
Mirror's Edge will be released on November 11th for PS3 and Xbox 360 (PC version still in the works). Based on the brief-yet-entertaining demo that hit PSN and Xbox Live last week, the game seems like it'll be worth penciling into a crowded November playing schedule.
