FishIsle Marks IGG's First Step Into Social-Network Gaming

published: 2009-10-28 10:38:30
Yesterday you may have read here at Blend Games about IGG’s new collaboration with Facebook that eliminates the need to have an IGG account to play Aurora Blade. Well, today the company is announcing that they’re actually working on a browser-based, social-network game called FishIsle.

According to the press release…
FishIsle is just the first of 8 social games that IGG will launch over the next year, each with original themes that have been largely unexplored by existing applications. On top of this, IGG has an additional 18 large scale MMORPGs that have been in development over the past 2 years, of which at least 5 will be released in the next 3 months – and just in time for the holidays!

The game itself is a open-sea fishing, social simulator for Facebook. The game mirrors the landlocked farming genre that most games in the genre exhibit on Facebook, however instead of being on land players will take to the waters. FishIsle sports a 45 degree birds-eye view of the action as players pick out a fishing boat and encounter a large variety of sea creatures.

This free-to-play, browser-based, sea-farming game is due out this November for social-network junkies. You can learn more about FishIsle by visiting the Official IGG Website.
