FlatOut 3 Pre-Orders Now Available At 10% Off
Strategy First has announced today that gamers can pre-order FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction right now on Steam for 10% off the original price. The game is also designed to take advantage of SteamWorks and Razer's Sixense motion-driven Hydra Controller.
Strategy First Director Emanuel Wall commented in the press release, saying...
FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction will provide the millions of fans of the franchise wide ranging game modes, extensive content, new vehicles and much more. We have more than doubled the amount of game play hours from previous installments and for the first time offer a fully integrated motion controller powered by Sixense which will complement SteamWorks. The game has received enthusiastic feedback from the FlatOut fanbase who were extremely involved in its development. We are confident that this sequel will surpass the already high expectations of our loyal fans."
The game sports 20,000 destructible objects per track, 47 fully destructible vehicles, a smorgasbord of party games featuring the series infamous rag-doll driver, as well as plenty of multiplayer modes and features.
For those of you not in the know, FlatOut became popularized for its physics-based racing mechanics. The game infuses arcade-style fun on top of simulation-style mechanics. The series, conversely, has also carried the label of being F&F...fun and frustrating, making it a unique racing title amongst many others in the genre. I can definitely attest to the FlatOut series being more fun than THQ's Juiced franchise, which competed with Bug Bear's racing title at the time, so you can take that for what it's worth.
If you enjoy the destruction derby style approach to your racing games then you'll probably enjoy FlatOut 3. The game is available in a bundle pack right now featuring all the previous FlatOut games for only $39.99.
