A new phase of the Battlefield Heroes beta has begun and EA is inviting a whole lot of gamers to take part. So far four thousand beta keys have been sent out and there's more on the way.

"We’re just getting started but we expect to accelerate the rate at which we distribute keys over the next few weeks," read an announcement on the Battlefield Heroes website.

Right now, EA is giving out beta keys to those who had signed up for previous testing of the free-to-play, microtransaction-supported multiplayer shooter. They're starting with the folks who signed up through third-party beta registration website QA Boss way back in the day. When they're finished with that list, EA will begin inviting the folks who signed up through the Heroes website. "When we reach this milestone we will definitely let you know."
