What's Metal Gear Hideo Kojima been doing lately, besides fending off hordes of people asking him if Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming to Xbox 360? He's been planning a new game.

"An official game announcement will be made at E3," Kojima told IGN at GDC when asked about his new project. That gives everyone three months worth of crazy speculation. I'll start: it's a Metal Gear game exclusively for Twitter!

No other details were provided. Maybe we'll get a little more info once the full interview is posted, though. Kojima will be accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award so there's also a slight chance he'll blurt something out in a fit of inebriated jubilee.
