Sony Online Entertainment's secret agent MMO shooter The Agency and super hero MMORPG DC Universe Online could make some major waves in the MMO market someday but not this year. According to SOE president John Smedley, both titles have been pushed back from 2009 to 2010.

Smedley revealed the new release target for the two MMO's in his keynote speech entitled, "An industry perspective on how new online games will reach the masses" (via Joystiq). Apparently new online games will reach the masses slower than expected (oh ho ho).

Oh well, gives them more time for "polish" which is probably a smart move. There's a lot riding on both projects. The Agency might not be a big license like DC Universe Online but they're both going to appear on both the PS3 and PC.
