GOG's Battle Of The Games Lets You Choose Discounts

Like other digital game shops, GOG.com loves to offer discounts. However, they're putting a twist on this tradition with a new Battle of the Games promotion in which players vote on the game they want discounted.

Every day between June 19th and July 5th, two games will be presented to GOG.com customers. They have 24 hours to vote on one of these games. At the end of voting, the game receiving the most votes will get a 60% discount for the next day.

Okay, it's a bit of a false choice. The losing game still gets a 40% discount. Considering how cheap most of the games on GOG are to begin with, a difference of 20% might only be a dollar or so. Still, everyone likes a good race.

The first round of Battle of the Games is between the adventure games Myst: Masterpiece Edition and The 7th Guest. In Myst, players must explore a mysterious island with portals to other worlds. 7th Guest is a horror game set inside an eerie mansion full of puzzles. Both games are considered classics so you can't go wrong with either if you like the adventure genre.

GOG plans to keep the exact line-up for Battle of Games a mystery. However, they mention that Psychonauts, The Witcher and Broken Sword: Director's Cut will all be featured at some point.
