Electronic Arts and Double Fine announced at the Games Convention 2009 (yeah it’s a lazy convention name now that it changed from Leipzig) that Tim Schafer’s Brutal Legend will be receiving a demo and that demo will be arriving on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network Store this upcoming September.

Tim Schafer, President of Double Fine Productions, commented in the press event at the convention, saying…

“We just couldn’t wait,” ... “Villagers have surrounded our offices with torches, demanding the game. So we’re releasing a demo and hope that this taste of metal will keep the mob at bay until Brütal Legend comes out this Rocktober.”

So in less than a month gamers will get a demo and just a month after that they will be able to get their hands on the game. That’s not a bad plan at all. Rock on, Shafer, rock on.
