Square Enix confirmed today that Final Fantasy XIII will be released simultaneously on the Xbox 360 and PS3 when it arrives in Europe and North America.

FFXIII producer Yoshinori Kitase revealed this little nugget of information in an interview with VG247. North America and Europe are slated to receive FFXIII in Spring 2010.

In Japan, the game is a PS3 exclusive and will arrive there this winter. Work on the Xbox 360 version did not begin until the PS3 version was complete so there was some doubt as to whether both platforms would get the game at the same time here in the West.
