While big announcements and huge reveals were far and few between the conferences at GamesCom this year, there was one thing apparent from all publishers involved: Heavy promotion of upcoming games. Some of the best game trailers released this year are coming out of the GamesCom 2009 event. One of those trailers happen to belong to the stunning Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

The new footage isn’t really all that new, but primarily there are glimpses into scenes we may not have seen before in prior trailers. The music and dynamic movie-presentation really helps push the game beyond the spectrum of being “just another shooter”. Heck, this game could potentially be the best of the year based on what has been shown off so far. The fact that it comes with multiplayer also puts it right up there alongside Grand Theft Auto IV, insofar that the multiplayer option isn’t necessary but always welcomed.
