Namco Bandai released a new trailer for Armored Core V featuring the online multiplayer team battle mode. If you have keen eyes and can make out what’s going on in the metal-grinding, explosion filled trailer, then kudos to you.

I’ve always had trouble being able to tell what it was I was looking at in Armored Core videos and even some of the screenshots; usually there’s just a lot of shells dropping and metal grinding and that’s about all I can see. Maybe you readers can fare better at distinguishing what’s happening on screen in the trailer below.

I’m sure there are some serious fun-factor moments littered throughout that trailer, I just wasn’t able to spot them out. Anyway, one thing that I’ve become curious about is maybe Namco and FromSoftware potentially evolving the series by making use of DICE’s Frostbite 2.0 engine. It would be insane seeing the mecha-robots stomp through a fully destructible environment with the latest in lighting and ambient effect rendering. Well at the least, a gamer can dream.

You can learn more about Armored Core V for the PS3 and Xbox 360, which will be releasing in the middle of 2012, by visiting the Official Website.
