Gears of War 2 is due in November and Epic Games is giving gamers another special chance to purchase the original. Gamestop is now taking preorders for a special edition of Gears to be released on June 24th.

On Gamestop's website, there's no product image for this special edition and it's simply called Gears of War with Maps. From that title it seems the rerelease will include the six multiplayer maps made available via Xbox Live after the game's release (and possibly the eight downloadable Achievements as well).

No word from Gears publisher Microsoft or developer Epic Games on all of this yet. If this special edition is going to be available in a month, though, I imagine we'll hear something very soon.
