If someone had told me that Charmed star, Alyssa Milano, was going to be in the game for a quasi-sequel of the Ghostbusters movies, I would have laughed and told them to keep dreaming. Now that it’s been officially revealed that Alyssa Milano is in the game for the quasi-sequel to the Ghostbusters movies, I think I’m still going to laugh.

According to the press release, Alyssa Milano plays Ilyssa Selwyn (real original name right there), and she’s… “an expert in Sumerian and pre-Sumerian cultures and is visiting New York City as guest curator for the highly anticipated ‘World of Gozer’ exhibition opening in 1991 at the Natural History Museum. Ilyssa must call on the Ghostbusters’ help have a cataclysmic force is unleashed and summons an ancient enemy back to New York City.”

Yeah, well, the game seems to mimic the romance angle on the last two Ghostbusters’ flicks. Except, Sigourney Weaver from the original two movies is replaced with Alyssa Milano (complete with the whole sub-plot of a human catalyst used for a supernatural force). I don’t know why, but this makes the game seem less interesting. Maybe, it’s because in the following trailer Milano comes off as being bored, uninterested in the project and not very enthused about her character.
