Global Agenda: PvP, PvE And Jetpacks!

published: 2009-03-30 11:29:01
Everyone has been ranting and raving about their GDC appearance. X company is proud about Y game and Z journalist claims it’s the best ever, yadda, yadda, yadda. This time, however, Hi-Rez Studios has released their own press news to the public regarding some of the new features of Global Agenda, no middle-men included.

"Our combat system was inspired by modern multiplayer shooters", says Executive Producer Todd Harris during this year's GDC. "But in addition to firearms, we've added melee, hundreds of other high-tech player-usable devices, and jetpacks!”

Harris went on to say, "After choosing a class and advancing their agent skills via PvE or PvP missions, they encounter other groups within the world and choose which ones to align with. We expect most players will eventually participate in our Campaign mode which allows player groups to acquire territory within the world, construct facilities, defenses, and bases on that territory, produce resources, and engage in the player-driven drama to dominate a region."

Booth participants had the opportunity to lay down some competitive combat in player-vs-player action, as well as player-vs-environment action. Participants also got to use the new facial customization feature, which will undoubtedly play a big role in killing off the clone-syndrome that many MMOs suffer from.

It sounds like Global Agenda is shaping up to be an amazing MMO-role-playing-action game. Hi-Rez is still looking for some beta-testing volunteers and if you think you got the gumption to hold your own in an ever-changing MMO environment that’s all about corporate espionage, then pay a little visit to the Official Global Agenda Website.
