Rockstar Leeds' PSP port of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will arrive in North America on October 20th. European gamers will have to wait until October 23rd.

The release dates were announced through Rockstar's Twitter. In another tweet, they note that the game will be released as a digital download and a retail UMD. Seems like a logical move, considering that the UMD drive-less PSP Go will arrive in stores on October 1st.

Chinatown Wars was initially released for the DS in March. It was pretty spectacular but didn't sell too well. Maybe the PSP's player base will give it a warmer welcome.
