Not many DS games get their own television commercials but Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is a pretty high-profile release so Rockstar's got a new advertisement hitting the boob tube.

As with most commercials these days, it has a "crappy economy" joke. The majority of the footage is hand-drawn still art with captions, which is what the game's cut scenes will look like. There are some brief snippets of gameplay toward the end, though.

Chinatown Wars is set to be released on March 17th. Blend Games had a chance to try out the game during New York Comic Con and you can read our impressions here.
