According to a Rockstar press release, on October 16th, if you’re willing to pony up the money, you can get Grand Theft Auto IV and a whole lot more if you purchase the special edition that is set to come out on the same day as the regular edition. Retailing for $89.99, the special edition will include never-before-seen artwork, a soundtrack of tunes from top artists, a Rockstar keychain for the safety deposit box the game will come packaged in, and a limited edition Rockstar duffle bag.
Coming out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, GTA IV raised quite a stir in the industry a few weeks ago when a mysterious, detail sparse, noncommittal trailer was put up online. Set to take place in Liberty City again, the locale this time around looks more like New York than it ever has before. I’m just hoping that this GTA revitalizes the series, as San Andreas just felt too…familiar…for my own personal taste.
