Today Microsoft announced that five games will be joining the Xbox 360 Platinum Hits collection. This means they'll be re-released to stores throughout North America with spiffy new packaging and a lower price tag.

The games being inducted into Platinum Hits are Grand Theft Auto IV, Street Fighter IV, Left 4 Dead, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Saints Row 2. There's no set price for Platinum games but they generally range from $20 to $30. Inclusion in the Platinum collection is determined by a game's sales and critical acclaim.

If you want to pick up more than one of these games, note that some retailers are currently offering a "buy one, get one free" deal for all titles in the Platinum Hits Collection. The offer expires on October 31st.
