It’s getting close to time to rock out with our chords out. The wireless guitars, the track list, and the rock and fuckin’ roll is ready to be unleashed on the world once again when Guitar Hero III releases later this month. But now we have some gameplay trailers, which show a few things of interest. The first is that watching someone else play GH is far more fun when you’re in the same room. The second is that the game looks phenomenal, and the franchise hasn’t missed a beat in the transition to a new developer.

With the better out of the box set list of the two rock games coming out this fall, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will be just as good as you hope it will be. If you, like me, still spend the occasional evening trying to perfect Psychobilly Freakout then you’re probably ready for what the next GH has to offer. The new gameplay video below shows off “Paint it Black” by the Rolling Stones on Expert mode, and it looks sick. The multiplayer stuff is “Slow Ride” by Foghat and “Schools Out” by Alice Cooper. Not too bad there, but I just can’t wait to get my hands on the game.

Get ready, because GHIII ships with the new wireless Gibson guitar on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii October 28th. The PS2 version comes with the Kramer model guitar.
