A playable demo for music game Guitar Hero: Metallica hit Xbox Live this morning. The demo allows you to jam out on four songs from the full game:

• Alice in Chains - "No Excuses"
• Metallica - "Sad But True"
• Metallica - "Seek and Destroy"
• Queen - "Stone Cold Crazy"

You can check out the full list of songs from the game here. The demo is 1 GB and isn't available for Asia or India, according to Major Nelson. No word on when the PS3 will get this demo.

Guitar Hero: Metallica will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 29th in North America. The PS2, Wii, and European gamers will have to wait until May.
