Whether taking to the skies in a single-player campaign or inviting friends to play in the multiplayer portion of the game, Guns of Icarus, gamers can finally experience one of the absolute coolest looking browser-based games to be released for PC. Muse Games sent out word today that the game is currently available to play online and all you need is a PC or Mac and an online connection.

According to the press release, Austin Lane, Co-Founder of Muse Games stated that…

“We strongly feel the potential for high quality browser-based 3D games has barely been scratched, especially in the multiplayer realm,”. “Guns of Icarus is our first effort to change that.”

The game is running on the Unity Engine and I’m here to tell you that it looks mighty impressive. Players basically take on the role of a transporter who uses an airship to get cargo from one place to the next; the only problem is that the sky is riddled with pirates, thieves and marauders. Hence, players must keep the ship repaired, fend off the goods using the on-board weapons and have a blasting good time in this steampunk-themed airship game.
