The exclusive, fast-paced retro RPG for the PlayStation Portable is now available for purchase at local retailers and coming soon to the PlayStation Network. This classic 8-bit style arcade-RPG comes jam packed with 100 unique stages all jammed between four distinct modes of play.

According to the press release…

Among the modes are the quick level-grinding of Hero Mode and the rapid-fire shooting of Princess Mode, all executed in classic 8-bit style graphics and backed by a rocking soundtrack. Marked by tongue-in-cheek humor, each mode features original quests, enemies, and gameplay style. No matter the mode, players have just 30 seconds or, a half-minute, to save the world.

That’s the coolest thing ever…saving the world in a half-minute. If the poor hero’s alarm clock was off by a minute he’d be a half-minute too late to save the planet from destruction. Anyway, XSeed Games’ Half-Minute Hero is already on the receiving end of some good press and that’s good news for PSP owners.

The game is currently available at retailers nationwide for the suggested retail price of $29.99. Hmm, that’s like a Nintendo DS price right there. Anyway, you can look to download the game via the PlayStation Store come October 22nd.
