XSeed Games announced today that the official release for their upcoming PSP exclusive, Half-Minute Hero, is currently set in stone and it’s definitely coming sooner rather than later.

Awarded Best Role-Playing Game (PSP) of E3 2009 by IGN, Half-Minute Hero redefines the RPG genre with fast-paced gameplay, 8-bit style graphics, a rocking soundtrack, and tongue-in-cheek humor. Players are offered an enormous amount of variety and can choose between four modes of accelerated gameplay totaling over 100 unique stages.

In partnership with Marvelous Entertainment, XSeed Games has ironed out the release for the PSP’s Half-Minute Hero and it happens to land on October 13th. Yep, that’s just one week away if you happen to be reading this a week before the game’s release.

A demo of Half-Minute Hero was released last month to give gamers a good idea of how the game is played.
