If you're a gambling addicted gamer who bets on which game will take top dog in Xbox Live traffic each week, you should probably put your money on Call of Duty 4 this time. From Friday to Sunday, Infinity Ward is offering double XP gains and slashing prices on the map pack.

The Variety map pack, which was first released back in April and contains "Killhouse", "Creek", "Chinatown", and "Broadcast", will be offered for 400 MS points instead of the usual 800. "Creek" is imbalanced and annoying and "Killhouse" is essentially just one big deathmatch room for XP farming but "Chinatown" and "Broadcast" are great so on the off-chance you don't own the the map pack already, it's worth a purchase.

Additionally, all playlists will give double the amount of normal XP points. Fourzerotwo also mentioned that the Prestige Gamer pictures will be back on Xbox Live Marketplace in case you missed them during the last double XP weekend back in April. Last time Infinity Ward held a double XP weekend on Live, they held one on PSN a few weeks later so stay tuned for an announcement on that, PS3 owners. Meanwhile, those of us who own the PC version will just have to be content with free maps.
