Halo 4 Screenshot Shows Off Railgun

A new screenshot from Halo 4's multiplayer leaked onto the Internet this weekend. In addition to being easy on the eyes, this screenshot gives us a glimpse at the ARC-920 Railgun, one of the new weapons featured in the game.

The Railgun, first revealed through a schematic in May, is a massive gun that fires off a high-explosive round. Expect it to pack a punch. Picture a rocket launcher, except more precise. It can tear up enemies and vehicles alike. However, the recharge rate is sluggish.



The weapons list in Halo 4 features many guns from previous games. It's not like the UNSC is going to trash all their old weapons and make completely new ones. Expect several new additions alongside the Railgun, though. There's plenty of interesting Forerunner technology for Master Chief to uncover on the planet of Requiem.

Little English Halo Blog notes that the screenshot also shows an M274 Ultra-Light All-Terrain Vehicle. The M274, better known as the "Mongoose," is basically a futuristic ATV. Its presence in Halo 4 is welcome, as it's a good vehicle for Capture the Flag and other objective-based game types that require speed.

Halo 4 will launch across the globe on November 6th.
