At first, I wasn’t going to bother covering this game, the news, the screenshots or video documentaries. After playing a few of the House of the Dead games, and suffering through the movies, I felt like it would be torture to gamers worldwide by even posting news about the trashy franchise that is House of the Dead. However, I started watching the video documentaries released by Headstrong Games, and now I’m starting to dig the whole Overkill concept.

Anything being made for the Nintendo Wii is pretty much being brandish as shovelware these days, with the exception of a handful of upcoming titles. Anyone who knows gaming would readily agree that Wii gaming is pretty much equivalent to feeding the toilet its daily meal. Headstrong’s House of the Dead: Overkill recognizes this fault in the Wii’s library, and in the impossibility of trying to make a great game out of a pointless franchise. So they opted for trying something different with the series and I completely concur with their choice.
