How To Sign Up For The StarCraft 2 Beta

Today Blizzard laid out what you'll need to do in order to sign up for the StarCraft 2 beta. Luckily, none of the steps require you to get off your ass.

First, you'll need one of those newfangled Battle.net accounts. After you've got one of those, you'll need to go to your account's "Beta Profile Settings" and create a beta profile with your system specs and indicate which games you'd like to test. Once the profile is uploaded, it'll be tossed in a pile with the millions of other applicants. If you have an unused beta code from BlizzCon 2008 or 2008 Worldwide Invitational, you'll be able to redeem it here.

To get all the nitty gritty details on the beta, read the original post on the Battle.net forums. The phased beta will hit North America first. The exact launch date hasn't been revealed yet but in today's post they reiterated that it would begin in the coming months.
