New screenshots for the retro-looking, 3D, side-scrolling fighter that will be coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3’s digital distribution services. Given the slow weekend news, we thought you might enjoy a few new screenshots that Namco Bandai released.

The game is a collaborative effort between Blitz Games and Namco Bandai, and this unique fighter just might manage to capture the gaming community with its old-school flair and new-school gaming mechanics. It reminds me a little bit of the original One Must Fall (and I’m not talking about the Epic Games classic with giant robots).

Invincible Tiger will feature some fast-paced fighting, special moves, and even a two-player cooperative feature. Additional features include a survival mode and online score tracking.

The new screenshots showcase some of the games diverse fighting moves and the pseudo-side scrolling atmosphere in which the game is set. I’m just glad the characters look like they come out of a kung-fu classic, and not some Saturday morning cartoon.
