XSeed Games sent out word that the Wii horror-game, JU-ON: The Grudge, is nearly ready to hit store shelves and the release date has been set in stone. The game is due out exclusively for the motion-sensing casual crusader on October 13th.

According to the press release…

Armed with only a flashlight, players’ safety depends on thorough exploration of cursed surroundings, including an abandoned warehouse and a decrepit hospital. Move quickly, because as your batteries drain and the darkness closes in around you, it becomes explicitly clear that something far more sinister than rats is lurking behind you.

Heh, so you have to fight ghosts with a flashlight? Not a bad concept considering that Alan Wake is doing the same thing for the Xbox 360.
