A new trailer has been released by Ubisoft featuring a brief mission montage of the Navi in the upcoming movie-based game, Avatar. I’m still not entirely convinced on this franchise being all that cool, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to give props to the art design team for creating an amazing looking interactive world mirrored after the movie.
The new trailer mixes in a little melee combat with some aerial flying and even a little Rambo, bow and arrow tactics. But if I must be honest, there’s one major flaw with that game already and it has to deal with the AI. The enemies seem to stand around waiting to be encountered, barely moving and looking a little like stiff toys. That’s probably not the best thing to show off in a gameplay trailer.
Nevertheless, the vehicles, special effects and creatures all look pretty cool. You can check out the Navi mission footage in the new trailer below. For more info on James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game, feel free to visit the Official Website.
