Red Alert 3 is the latest EA game to arrive on Valve's digital distribution service Steam. Yep, we pulled the old "make the headline sound much sexier than the actual article" trick. Apologies.

Actually, the announcement of the release was dated yesterday but it got buried by a bunch of other news, including EA's announcement of the new standalone expansion for Red Alert 3 coming later this year. Buying RA3 over Steam will cost you the normal $49.99. Plus you don't have to brave the frigid wilderness between your home and your game store.

RA3 first hit stores for the PC on October 28th and on November 11th for the Xbox 360. A PS3 version is expected this year.
