Today IO Interactive officially announced Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. The co-op shooter will be released in 2010.

K&L2 promises an "even more intense story experience." Kane and Lynch, the criminal duo from the first game, are now in Shanghai for some unknown, possibly illegal reason. The visual style of the game is said to draw inspiration from documentaries and "the user-generated era" - it looks like a Youtube video?

Last May, Eidos president Ian Livingstone confirmed that IO was working on K&L2 as well as a fifth Hitman game, the latter of which is still unannounced. Both Eidos and IO became part of Square Enix Europe earlier this year.
