Namco Bandai recently announced that the rolling-up, crazy-looking, cousin-dating odd-ball adventure-miscellaneous game has finally gone gold. Unfortunately, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, PSP and DS owners won’t be able to roll things up and put them away because Katamari Forever is a PlayStation 3 exclusive… yeah, take that Splinter Cell: Conviction.

According to the press release…

”An unfortunate accident has caused the King of All Cosmos to lose his memory and all the stars to disappear from the night sky. The Prince must use his finely tuned Katamari rolling skills once more to re-create the absent celestial bodies, save his royal father and restore order to the Cosmos. Thumb tacks, sushi, cats, people, skyscrapers, ocean liners and continents – nothing is safe as the Prince makes his way through the largest variety of stages in a single Katamari game”

The game will feature new music, including classic tunes from Katamari Damacy, new cousins to date (odd as that sounds it’s actually an improved feature), new things to roll up and new graphic features and art. Sounds intriguing, no? Well, PlayStation 3 owners will be able to roll things up and restore peace to the galaxy once September 22nd rolls around.
