After KillZone 2 earned the title of one of the most pre-ordered first-party titles in PS3 history, there’s now news circulating that the biggest release of 2009 could be slipping in sales to Street Fighter IV. How is this possible and why?
According to an article on GamingFront, it appears that the biggest retailer for brick and mortar gaming sales is listing KillZone 2 in second place next to the multi-platform title, Street Fighter IV.
That’s right, Walmart is listing that the most anticipated game of the year is currently holding second place in sales to the most anticipated fighting game of the year. Now before you all jump to the conclusion that these are combined sales of Xbox 360 and PS3 SKUs for Street Fighter IV, it’s actually just PS3 sales.
H’m, so Capcom’s Street Fighter IV is selling more than KillZone 2 at Walmart. What has the world come to? Be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games for more news and info on all things gaming.
