Okay, so if you like shooting zombies and making new maps to shoot said zombies on, you might be interested in a little promotion being held by Tripwire Interactive, Nvidia and Logitech that will feature a total of $20,000 in prizes and a $10,000 grand prize for the contest winner.

Electronic Theatre announced that the map-making contest for the budget-priced, Steam game, Killing Floor, will take place in two waves with the first wave commencing on July 31st, 2009. First place will receive a nominal $5,000 prize with the runner-ups receiving commendable graphics cards by Nvidia.

Now, for those of you who need more time to kick your map-making, vertex placing, polygon-bending skills into high-gear, Tripwire will employ the second wave of the contest on September 26th. This is the big contest. So you have just enough time to waste your summer trapped indoors making kick-butt maps that could potentially win you the grand prize of $10,000. Second place losers…I mean, contestants, will receive complimentary video cards and Logitech devices for their efforts.
