We assumed that meant Gamestop customers would be getting the demo a mere week or two earlier than everyone else, but no: the demo will be exclusively available to those who pre-order until the game hits stores.
"The demo will be available on the PSN after the game ships but only through GameStop until then," a rep for SCEA told Joystiq today. No specific date was provided for the PSN release. The demo will available to those who pre-order online or in-store around February 3rd.
Some of the pre-order deals through Gamestop are of dubious quality - the tiny bonus missions for Far Cry 2 come to mind - but over three weeks of exclusive access to a playable demo is pretty impressive. Killzone 2 hits stores on February 27th exclusively for PS3.
