Today 38 Studios revealed their first game will arrive in Fall 2011. It's called Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and is in development at subsidiary Big Huge Games for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Reckoning is an open-world, single-player RPG set in the fantasy world of Amalur. It's also said to have "intense action combat". The lead designer is Ken Rolston, who served the same role on Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Fantasy author R.A. Salvatore and comic book artist Todd McFarlane are also contributing their talents to the game.

The initial announcement is slim but that's because they're holding back information for Comic Con. 38 Studios is holding a panel discussion at the convention on Thursday. During this event, they will unveil the first trailer.
