Knytt Underground Free, Metro: Last Light And GRID 2 Discounted For Plus This Week
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for yet another PlayStation Plus update. One of these days I’m going to come up with some theme music for these weekly posts but, until then, you’re just going to have to deal with my less-musical text-based intros. This week’s Plus update offers a couple of discounts, as well as a free copy of Knytt Underground for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
If you’ll notice, I said that free copy of Knytt is for both Sony’s home and portable consoles. When we announced the upcoming Plus lineup earlier this month, it wasn’t known whether or not the “cross-buy” games would retain their ability to play on either system, seeing as how Knytt was specifically listed under the Vita category. But it looks like you’ll be able to enjoy the dark and artistic platforming puzzler on either console starting later today. Or both, I suppose, if you’re feeling especially greedy.
If you’d rather spend some time blasting mutants and unspeakable terrors in the Russion subway system, then there’s a good chance you’re looking to pick up Metro: Last Light sometime later today. A brand new release this week, digital copies purchased off of PlayStation Plus will come with an additional 20 percent discount for Plus subscribers, moving the game from $59.99 to $47.99.
There will also be a discount this week for racing fans looking to reserve their digital copy of GRID 2 nice and early. Pre-order GRID 2 through Plus and you’ll net yourself a 10 percent discount on the upcoming driver, marked down to $53.99 for a limited time.
That’ll about do it for this week’s update. For more information on this week’s Plus offerings, drop by the PlayStation Blog. Otherwise, look for Knytt Underground and the additional savings to go live once the PlayStation Network updates later today.
