Hype Kojima Says There Will Be More Metal Gear on N4G
Kojima Says There Will Be More Metal Gear We’ve been hearing for awhile that Metal Gear Solid 4 would be the last in the Solid series, but as for the general Metal Gear franchise we had no clue as to what could happen. Technically we still don’t, but series creator Hideo Kojima has indicated that he’ll help with the series in the future. While we knew Konami would go on with the Tactical Espionage Action franchise it wasn’t certain that Kojima would be involved.

"MGS will always be around. I feel a responsibility to continue this series as long as users demand it," said Kojima in an interview with Reuters. "But it doesn't mean I'm going to sit in completely. I'll probably take a different role in the next game. Maybe I'll sit in as producer and let the young staff take control of the new series. I really want to go on to new things."

So we can put to rest any rumors that this is the grand finale for all things Metal Gear.
