Konami At E3: Silent Hill Homecoming DetailsAuthor: Steve West

I’ll be honest with you, at least for this one shining beacon of a moment: I’m not a Silent Hill guy. Oh, I love the first two games. But my heart’s always belonged to Resident Evil. So when I’m told Silent Hill is finally coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 in an all-new game, I’m excited. But I’m not drooling and praying they don’t mess up the story. As long as I’m not too confused by the end I’ll be ok with that aspect. It’s the gameplay and scare factor that interest me.
Silent Hill: Homecoming follows Alex Shepherd who returns home to Shepherd’s Glen to find out what happened to his brother. OK Konami, why are people in your games always losing their family? Perhaps you should associate with more responsible characters. Alex has to explore his home, and the streets of Silent Hill to unravel the mystery. Yeah, when you go into Silent Hill there’s gonna be some bad shit happening to you. Ominously Konami states about Alex that he must solve the mystery of the disappearance ”and confront the evil that has taken hold of his own flesh and blood.” Frightening. Developer Double Helix is unraveling even more of Silent Hill’s sordid past for us to awe gape at, and you can look forward to playing this September on the Xbox 360 and PS3. |
