The complete lack of news about L.A. Noire may have made you suspicious of its planned Fall 2010 release. Well, you were right to be skeptical.
Buried in Take-Two Interactive's third quarter fiscal 2010 results is news of a delay to the 1940's open-world mystery game. Noire is now slated for release in the first half of the 2011 calendar year. That's a pretty big timeframe so it doesn't inspire much confidence. Take-Two released Mafia II, another open-world game set in the 40's, just a week ago. It seemed unlikely they'd release two games back-to-back that are so similar (at least superficially). Such a large delay, though, suggests it's not solely due to marketing concerns. Back to top
