Nintendo announced today that The Last Story's official release date has been set. For those of you who probably don't remember this game, it's one of the few titles that actually pushes the Wii forward and features some very intriguing gameplay mechanics.
In addition to announcing the official release date, Nintendo also unveiled the game's very own website and a new teaser trailer. Brand new information and details are available for the first time in English.
The game sports a unique combat system that mixes stealth-action elements with real-time combat. Players can wall-hug, dodge, parry and attack all in real-time using the Wii-mote.
We originally reported on this game way back in 2010 when it was scheduled to release exclusively for the Wii over in Japan. I'm glad Nintendo decided to port the game over to other territories because it's one of those rare games that deserves a bigger audience.
Details on the game's story, characters and background information are all available on the new website. The game's design is being headed up by famous game director Hironobu Sakaguchi and The Last Story is scheduled for release on February 24th, later this month, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii.
