Lego Universe MMORPG To Debut At CES 2010

published: 2010-01-05 11:29:45
Fans of the digital brick-building play-set are probably drooling at the idea of a Lego MMO utopia, but at CES 2010 it won't just be an idea it will be a reality. The Lego Group announced that beta sign-ups for Lego Universe will take place at this year's Consumer Electronics Show along with in-game demos on display to showcase some of the game's features.

According to the press release…
With a creative and building focus, LEGO Universe invites players to explore, battle, make friends, and flex their imaginations with the brick in a vibrant online world. Developed by The LEGO Group and NetDevil, LEGO Universe is a family-friendly online game, appropriate for players aged eight and above.

The game will feature simple Lego construction sets, along with detailed, sophisticated brick-by-brick building options for hardcore Lego users. I’d like to think that this will open the door for gamers to construct Lego Star Destroyers to fly around the city…would that not be awesome?

Anyway, CES 2010 starts on January 7th and ends on January 10th in the Las Vegas Convention Center. The hands-on demos for Lego Universe will be on display in the North Hall, at booth #5421.

For more info on the game be sure to visit the Official Lego Universe Website.
